Terms & Conditions

 

1. PRICES – Orders are billed at the prices in effect at the time of shipment.  Prices will be as specified by Discount Audio and will be applicable for the period specified in the Price List.  Prices are exclusive of taxes and other charges, including sales, use, excise, value-added and similar taxes or charges imposed by any government authority, international shipping charges, forwarding agent’s and broker’s fees, bank fees, consular fees, and document fees. 

2. PAYMENT TERMS – All payments must be made in the currency billed on the original invoice.

3. RETURN POLICY – Discount Audio will accept product returns within 30 days of purchase and will pay for the return freight under the following three conditions:

    a)      Discount Audio ships product other than that ordered by the customer

    b)     Discount Audio ships product to an address other than specified by the purchase order

    c)      Discount Audio ships product that is defective

4.  RESTOCK POLICY - Discount Audio will accept back products in "new condition" within 30 days of the Dealer accepting the shipment provided:

    a) The customer pays 15% restocking fee

    b) The customer pays the return freight charge

    c) The products are received within 30 days of shipment and the products are in perfect working order.  Discount Audio reserves

         the right to charge the customer if the products require repair and/or refurbishing

    d) Credit for returned orders will be applied to customer as appropriate

5. WARRANTY STATEMENT – Anchor Audio products are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 6 years from the date of original purchase unless listed below:

    a) All microphones and belt pack transmitters shall be warranted for a 2 year period.

    b) Batteries in the Beacon, Liberty, MegaVox Pro, Explorer Pro and Acclaim sound systems shall be warranted for a 2 year period. 

        Batteries in Mini-Vox Lite, AN-MINI, and RescueMan are not under warranty.

    c) Little Big Horn shall be warranted for a 2 year period.

    d) PortaCom and ProLink 500 headsets and belt packs, Councilman Bases and Mics shall be warranted for a 2 year period.

    e) Built-in CD and MP3 players shall be warranted for a 2 year period.

And all warranties are subject to the following conditions;

    f) The product must have been purchased from Discount Audio.

    g) Anchor Audio must perform all warranty service.  Any service performed without Anchor Audio’s authorization will void the entire

        warranty.

    h) This warranty does not cover any product that has been subjected to negligent use, connection to an improper power source,

        misuse, or operated beyond its manufactured specifications and limits, or has not been reasonably maintained. 

    i) Warranty shall not apply to batteries (other than those mentioned above), exterior finish, AC power cords, bulbs, or any other

        failings due to normal wear.

    j) Warranty is void when equipment is subjected to adverse temperature, humidity, moisture, or other conditions that are not

        considered normal environmental conditions.

    k) This warranty excludes all damages or defects caused by shipping transportation, or incorrectly packing for shipment. 

    l) The original serial number must be visible on the system at the time of warranty repair.

6. RETURN AUTHORIZATION PROCEDURES FOR PRODUCTS UNDER ANCHOR AUDIO WARRANTY

    a) In all cases customers must first obtain approval for any product they are attempting to return to Anchor Audio.  Upon approval, a

    Return Authorization (RA) number will be issued by the Anchor Audio Customer Service Department and must accompany all

    products returned.

    b) Products returned without approval and RA number will be returned to the sender.  You must include the RA number on box

    when it is returned or you will incur a $25 processing fee for warranty or non-warranty items.

    c) RA expires 30 days from date of issue.  Any product received after 30 days of the RA issue date will be returned to sender.

7. SHIPPING

    a) Loss or Freight Damage – All shipments are thoroughly inspected by Anchor Audio and carefully packed prior to shipment. 

    Anchor Audio will consolidate orders, when applicable, to conserve shipping costs (unless otherwise advised by the Customer). 

    Anchor Audio will only be responsible for the order up to the time of pick-up by the carrier (usually FedEX).  Recipient is strongly

    urged to inspect the shipment upon arrival and prior to signing for the product.  If the shipment is damaged, refuse to accept the

    order. 

    b) Discount Audio accepts no responsibility for refused shipment, inability to deliver shipment, “no such address” returns, receipt by

    unknown person, or any other receiving discrepancy.  If re-shipment is requested as a result of incorrect shipping address, an     

    additional shipping charge may apply.  

    c) Freight – All orders are FOB Carlsbad, CA.  A freight handling charge is included on the invoice, and a fuel charge may be

    included. 

    d) Rush Charges – Discount Audio will charge a $35 expedite fee for orders that require same day shipment.  Same day ship orders

    must be placed prior to 11:00 AM PST time.  This $35 expedite fee will also apply to items that have options added (standard     

    installation time is 5 working days) or modifications made to the order on the scheduled day of shipment.  Any products shipped

    overseas will be billed for taxes, customs, and/or duty fees.

8. CUSTOMER PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

    a) The Terms and Conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California and the

    applicable laws of the United States. 

    b) Discount Audio has the right to alter the terms and conditions of sale with or without notice to Customer.
